Talking Dolls —

The mission of Talking Dolls is to empower our northeast Detroit neighborhood through justice-focused initiatives. We create a nexus of progressive art and community-led activism through access to our shop, artist studios, and gallery space for workshops, performances and celebration. It is led by co-directors Wes Taylor, Ron Watters, and Andrea Cardinal.

We are 61 years old. 10’9” tall. 341 lbs. We have 8 eyes. 4 arms, 4 legs. 20 fingers, 20 toes. We have a generous amount of hair. We’ve travelled 29,000 miles. Read 265 books. We’ve made 26 furniture objects. 32 graphic objects. This is our first show.




Teikaut is the collaborative practice between Li Chen & Gerald Schulze. Together they make furniture, graphics, interiors, information systems, book objects, and installations. They are here for a good time.
